2020 has been a challenging year with everyone finding new ways of working and living. COVID has certainly disrupted and affected everyone’s lives across the world. Our wish for 2021 is a new beginning for everyone, where we understand that we must face the challenges ahead with courage.
Traditionally OpenSource meet with our consultants on site and we enjoy giving out our on-boarding packs as well as other goodies for the holiday seasons. This year we were faced with the challenge of how to send our on-boarding packs and gift packs to consultants working remotely across South Africa. We came up with the idea of gift boxes and thanks to Postnet who supported us with our distribution, were able to send our gifts door to door across SA. We trust we spread some joy to everyone over the holidays. We have included some pictures of consultants proudly sporting OpenSource gear!
Given the statistics and current lockdown, we can’t foresee consultants returning to site in the next couple of months and expect that the roles we receive will mostly be for remote work at this time until we are able to return to site. It seems it will be ‘business as usual’ according to the conditions during 2020.
We have been extremely busy during 2020 with the number of vacancies increasing each month and expect this to continue during 2021, for which we are most grateful. We have seen an increase in the number of technical roles, including a demand for consultants to enhance client’s reporting systems, which includes the demand for data management.
We implemented new systems to support our increased recruitment demands and consultants can view our vacancies on our website and submit their credentials online. These changes have certainly assisted us in managing the volume of requirements and applications.
During December we announced that OpenSource has been acquired by Workforce Holidings Limited a JSE listed company, effective 1st January 2021 and we look forward to being part of a larger group where we can offer extended services through complimentary sales opportunities.
We look forward to working with our clients and consultants during 2021 and to continue to offer quality services and increased opportunities in the market.
